Acquisition of Churton Street, SW1 for AGBI
Heather Smith Commercial acquired the freehold Headquarters for the Artist’s General Benevolent Institution at Churton Street in Pimlico, London SW1. A renowned charity founded in 1814 by Turner, Constable and Sloane, it provides help for professional artists in need due to accident, illness, old age, or who cannot earn.
They have secured this exciting new space to be used as their administrative office, fundraising space and to host their regular, committee meetings. The building is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment ahead of their occupation in late 2020.
“Heather was not phased by a complicated brief, coupled with a large group of Trustees to satisfy. Heather has steered this process from the acquisition of the building to the completion of contracts. We have been so impressed with the professionalism, in depth knowledge of her field and contacts we have unanimously decided to ask Heather to undertake the next phase and project manage the entire refurbishment of the building. We could not recommend Heather and her team more highly.”
