Charity Fun Day at Lotus Park raised £2,700
During an occupier meeting in the Spring, we discovered that one of our occupiers had sadly lost her 13 year old son and was raising money for two amazing charities – CRY and Momentum. The whole Landlord and advisor team unanimously decided to support the charities too by turning our summer event into a charity fun day.
The main attraction of the event was a live fire walk, where participants signed up and sought sponsorship from friends and family to take part in the challenge. Alongside the fire walk, a LEGO walk added a fun and quirky twist, as attendees braved walking barefoot over a bed of colourful LEGO bricks.
The event also featured a variety of garden games, including darts, table football, hook-a-duck, and coconut shys with prizes up for grabs.
The event raised an impressive £2,716 for charity, making the event purposeful, memorable but also impactful. The money was split between the two charities who were very grateful for the donation also in the increased awareness for the charities.
